"Take chance and see, if you'll pick up for me"

The ability to connect with the listener determines how far one can go. Building that attachment with the listener to make them life long fans of your work, knowing they can run to your tunes for the answers or friend they can need. Lynnsay can do all of that and sky is the limit for this one of a kind talent. We became fans f her work after hearing her new record "3 AM". We had to know more and she was gracious enough to take the time to answer some questions for us. Below is the interview.

Who is Lynnsay the artist?

Lynnsay is just a girl wanting to express her emotions to the world. I want to impact people the way I’ve been impacted my whole life. I am just a person who wants other people to relate to the things I’ve been through.

Who are some of your influences? what do you take from them and apply to your music?

I have many influences but at this moment I would have to say Lauryn Hill, HER, and Spectrum the Originator. Lauryn Hill’s lyricism is insane, and I would like to implement that into my music. HER is just a gentle soul who knows how to express herself in the most simplest of ways. From her, I take getting my ideas across in an understanding way. Spectrum the Originator is an up and coming artist who’s an extremely hard worker! From him, I take his work ethic/dedication to music and work hard on perfecting my songs.

What was your approach when making your new song “3 AM”?

I just wanted to make a song about how I really felt. My approach was simple, no fancy words or phrases, just raw emotion. I had bottled up these emotions I’ve been feeling about this person and I couldn’t expressed it. This song is my outlet. It’s my way of getting these feelings out there and being at peace.

When did you know it was time to drop your new song “3 AM”?

I had this song waiting to be dropped for a while. As soon as I received the cover art, I was ready to roll.

What do you want people to take away from your music?

I want people to relate to my music. I want people to feel my emotions and bring them back to the time they felt the same way I was feeling.

What’s next for Lynnsay?

Definitely more original music. I will be dropping singles every couple of months and some covers too!
