When we started the "Producer Spotlight" it was about truly bringing light to the true creatives of the music we here. After hearing Froma's production, We knew we had to get him on here. Froma has a sound that will keep you listening, while enjoying his artistry. Froma was gracious enough to take the time to answer a few questions. The spotlight in on Froma!
Who is Froma the Producer?
Froma was created in order to drive my passion of developing music forward through original content and unique remixes. I currently reside in Southwest Florida! I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit, so I decided to turn my passion of music production into a business.
How did you get into producing?
I originally started producing with the goal to create my own Dubstep Music (the heavy, head banging kind of EDM). There was a period where the genre started to sound generic and bland, so I decided to take matters into my own hand and create the music that I wanted to hear. Nowadays, Froma has expanded into many other different genres, including the production of instrumentals, and mixing and mastering services for other artists. I also built a home studio where I can bring in local artists to record in.
What production software do you use and why?
Fl Studio 20 is my production software. I love this software so much because of its clean user interface design. The design is very straightforward, so I highly recommend it to any producer that is trying to start up. There are tons of free tutorials available online that will teach you basic and advance concepts.
What’s your creative process when creating beats?
It all depends on the situation. Some days I may wake up and work up until the night and finish a track completely. The process for creating beats is more organized. I already have my own customized FL Studio Template set up, with all channels pre mixed and labeled to save me time. Afterwards I apply mastering and the beats are ready to go! For anyone making beats out there, I highly suggest for you to create your own custom template in order to be more efficient in your music creation process.
What was your favorite project to work on and why?
My latest beat, “Thinking About You” has been my favorite project to work on currently. My sound design and production skills always improve with each new project that I finish, so I always feel that my latest projects are the best ones, until I make a new one that I feel surpasses it.
If you could collab with any artist who would it be and why?
I would love to collaborate with Travis Scott someday. Sicko Mode was such an astounding and unique design with the beat switches that kept listeners shocked and waiting for the next turn. The entire Astroworld Album was incredible in general and gave me a lot of ideas for new beats.
What’s next for Froma?
I am in the process of releasing a dubstep song that is being signed onto one of my favorite labels! Once it is released, I would love to share it with you all. I am also in the process of expanding my website to offer music lessons and sound kits to help producers and artists. I have tons of other instrumentals in the work that will be released very soon! I have a grand vision of what Froma will become, and I am slowly working my way up there. In honor of this interview, I have created a coupon code for 30% off all my beats! The coupon code is FROMAMUSIC30. It expires at the end of the month so make sure to use it before 5/31/2019 to get a great discount on all the beats I have for sale. I have just uploaded a Khalid Type beat called “Thinking Bout You” so make sure to check it out. Thank you so much for the interview!
