Mike Melinoe - Her Name

29 Aug

"Everyday is going to be a little different"

Detroit has been famous for always bringing good music since the Motown sound days and tradition being carried on with legendary hip hop producer and acts J Dilla, Slum Village, Eminem, Royce da 5'9, and even Big Sean has made his way in to the conversation. Tradition continues with Detroit artist Mike Melinoe's new song "Her Name".

The track starts off with Mike Melinoe singing "I dont want you" in a style you would hear from Andre 3000's "Love Below Album" while synths set the mood. As soon as the beat drops Melinoe effortlessly attacks the production that's reminiscent of A tribe Called Quest's "Conrad Tokyo" track from their latest effort.

Mike Melinoe carries the track well with his confident ambitious flow and slick lyrics like "Tell ya man he can wait, I'm ya man for the day, whats  the plan give me face or just blaze something". His verses are complemented with his melodic hook that shows his diverse skill set as he carries this track that makes you want to hear more.

If you need music that is exciting and that you can get lost in look no further than Mike Melinoe's "Her Name". A link to the track is below as well as a link to his twitter. Stay Global my friends!
